Mississippi State Football 2022 Season Preview: Offensive Line
By Matt Melton
Percy Lewis
Arguably the most notable name when it comes to offensive lineman in the Bulldogs 2022 class is that of Lewis, a four-star prospect out of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The junior was one of the top JUCO prospects in the 2022 class regardless of position, and is likely to see a notable amount of action this season, potentially in a starting role.
Gabe Cavosos Jr
Entering his second season in Starkville, Cavosos could be a name to watch for as a backup option who could see time in 2022. The redshirt freshman is a former three-star prospect in the 2021 class who did not see in-game action with the Bulldogs a year ago.
Steven Losoya III
An offseason transfer, Losoya comes to Mississippi State after three seasons at Middle Tennessee State, a span in which the redshirt junior started in 11 games a year ago. Losoya is likely to play a key reserve role for the Bulldogs this season, one who could see time at multiple positions.
Albert Reese IV
Reese, a redshirt freshman, is another name to watch for this season as a rotational option along the Mississippi State Football offensive line. A former three-star prospect in the 2021 class, Reese did not see time with the Bulldogs a year ago.
Reed Buys
A redshirt junior, Buys enters his third season in Starkville, one in which he could see time in the Bulldogs offensive line rotation. Buys saw limited action a year ago for Mississippi State, appearing in two games.
