Mississippi State Football 2022 Season Preview: Offensive Line
By Matt Melton
Grant Jackson
A redshirt sophomore, Jackson saw a notable amount of action a year ago with the Bulldogs, primarily coming in a special teams role. The former three-star could play a similar role this season, as well as be a depth option among Mississippi State’s offensive line.
Lucas Taylor
Mississippi State Football added a total of three true freshman offensive lineman in their 2022 class, the most notable of which is Taylor. A player who could see limited action with the Bulldogs this season, Taylor is a three-star prospect out of St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Alabama who was a one-time LSU commit.
JT Zakkak
Zakkak, a redshirt sophomore, saw limited action with the Bulldogs a year ago, appearing in one game. A former two-star prospect in the 2020 class, Zakkak is likely a depth option for Mississippi State this season.
Canon Boone
Boone enters his redshirt freshman season in Starkville after not seeing time with the Bulldogs a year ago. The former three-star prospect is likely a depth option for Mississippi State this season.
Jackson Cannon
Another true freshman suiting up for the Bulldogs on the offensive line this fall is Cannon, a three-star prospect out of Ola High School in Georgia. Cannon is likely a depth option for the Bulldogs in 2022.
Jakson LaHue
The final name to know in Mississippi State’s 2022 offensive line outlook is LaHue, the final of those three true freshman. Likely a depth option for the Bulldogs, LaHue comes to Starkville as a three-star prospect out of Azle High School in Texas.
