As Auburn Football enters year two under head coach Bryan Harsin, the pressure will be on the Tigers this season for a bounce back 2022 campaign coming off their first losing season since 2012. As for what the Tigers may look like, here is the projected starting lineup/depth chart for Auburn entering the 2022 season. (NOTE: This will only be a two-deep depth chart)

Projected Auburn Football starting lineup & depth chart for 2022 season

Kicker

Starter: Anders Carlson

Backup: Ben Patton/Alex McPherson

One of the SEC’s most experienced kickers, Carlson returns for his sixth season at Auburn this fall having made 151-of-154 career extra points, as well as 67-of-93 field goals. The kicking depth for the Tigers could also be the deepest in the SEC as well, a group that includes the returning Patton who made five-of-six field goals a year ago, as well as McPherson, a true freshman who was one of the nation’s top kickers in the 2022 class.

Punter

Starter: Oscar Chapman

Backup: Marshall Meyers

Chapman could be one of the SEC’s top punters this season, coming off a 2021 season in which the junior averaged 44.1 yards per punt, along with 23 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

Long Snapper

Starter: Jacob Quattlebaum

Backup: Reed Hughes

Quattlebaum, a senior, returns at long snapper after starting for the Tigers at the position a year ago.
