Arkansas Football returns a notable amount of production from last season at the running back position. With two key names leading the way, which players could see time at running back this season for the Razorbacks?

Arkansas Football 2022 Season Preview: Running Backs

Raheim Sanders

The Razorbacks have one of the SEC’s top duos at running back entering the 2022 season, with the first name in that group being that of Sanders.

Sanders, a sophomore, is coming off a strong freshman campaign a year ago, one in which he rushed for a total of 578 yards and five touchdowns on 114 attempts. Averaging 5.1 YPC in the process, Sanders would also catch a total of 11 passes out of the Razorbacks backfield, which he turned into 109 yards and a touchdown.

Coming off that exciting freshman season, Sanders will once again be a key name for the Arkansas offense in 2022, likely serving as the Razorbacks RB1. As for the workload that Sanders receives, the sophomore is likely to eclipse the 100-carry mark once again, with it also possible that he eclipses his rushing yardage and touchdown total from a year ago.

Expect Sanders to once again have a strong sophomore season, and to post career-high’s in both rushing yards and touchdowns, as well as receiving.
