AJ Green

Arkansas Football clearly has two experienced running backs returning this season in both Sanders and Johnson. However, there is a third as well in Green, a sophomore who also saw a significant amount of action a year ago.

Receiving 47 carries as a freshman, Green would rush for a total of 227 yards and a touchdown, while also turning seven receptions into 84 yards and a score as well. Also returning a total of nine kickoffs on special teams, Green should also be a key piece for the Razorbacks offense this season, and is likely set to receive a similar work load in 2022 as a sophomore.

Javion Hunt

Aside from the previous three, the only other returning name for Arkansas at running back who saw time a year ago is that of Hunt, a redshirt freshman.

A former three-star prospect in the 2021 class, Hunt appeared in only one game a year ago for the Razorbacks, rushing for 19 yards on four attempts. The redshirt freshman could see a similar work load this season as well, and is likely fourth on the Arkansas running back depth chart entering the year.
