SEC Football: Preseason predictions for the 2022 season

How many SEC teams will make the College Football Playoff?
Taking an early look ahead, how many SEC teams do we think will make the 2022 College Football Playoff?
Matt Melton -1 (Alabama)
This might be the toughest to predict of any on this list. Assuming Alabama wins the SEC, the Crimson Tide will 100% make the College Football Playoff, but Georgia is also a team to watch for as the Bulldogs could easily make a return trip to the CFP in 2022, especially if they win the SEC.
Jonathan Lurensky – 2 (Alabama and Georgia)
I think it will be a repeat of last year with these two teams making it back to the playoff. Alabama will be led by Bryce Young, and the Bulldogs will be led by their amazing defense.
Patrick Previty – 1 (Alabama)
There will only be one team from the SEC in the playoff this year. I have Georgia losing once in the regular season and another time to Alabama in the SEC championship game. That pretty much leaves the Tide as the only SEC candidate for the CFP.
