SEC Football Game Today: Missouri vs Louisiana Tech Line, Predictions, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football
By Matt Melton
One of two SEC Football games set to take place Thursday night, Missouri opens their 2022 season with a home matchup against Louisiana Tech in what is the first-ever meeting between the Tigers and Bulldogs.
Finishing 6-7 a year ago, Missouri is coming off their third straight six-or-less win season, one in which the Tigers finished with a 3-5 record in SEC Football play. Entering year three under head coach Eli Drinkwitz, the Tigers are also coming off a season in which they struggled in particular on the defensive side of the ball, allowing 33.8 PPG to opponents.
The Tigers in 2022 will have a new starter under center as Brady Cook takes over at quarterback, while the Missouri offense also returns a notable amount of production at wide receiver, a group that also added five-star freshman Luther Burden. Missouri will also have to replace a key piece of their offense in running back Tyler Badie, while the defense also had key names move on, with the biggest name returning being Martez Manuel.
Louisiana Tech on the other hand are entering their first season under new head coach Sonny Cumbie, coming off a 3-9 campaign in which the Bulldogs were tied for last in the C-USA West at 2-6. The three total wins for the Bulldogs a year ago were also Louisiana Tech’s fewest since the 2006 season, as well as their first losing season since 2013, which was their first season in C-USA.
The Bulldogs will also have to replace a few notable names from last season, while some key players also return as well. Among those names returning are their top two receivers in Smoke Harris and Tre Harris on offense, while leading tackler Tyler Grubbs headlines the 2022 Louisiana Tech defense.

Missouri vs Louisiana Tech SEC Football Prediction
Missouri should begin their 2022 season on a winning note here, in part due to the passing game for the Tigers getting off to a hot start. Expect the Tigers to win by at-least two touchdowns, with big games from receivers such as Burden in particular, and for the Missouri defense to also show improvement. Prediction: Missouri 35, Louisiana Tech 17
