  • 4-star DL Hunter Osborne
  • 4-star TE Ty Lockwood
  • 4-star DL Edric Hill
  • 4-star OT Miles McVay
  • 3-star OT Raymond Pulido

Alabama continued to add to their top-ranked 2023 class during August by adding five total commits, one of which comes from in-state with four-star defensive lineman Hunter Osborne. Another notable name from this group was four-star tight end and former Ohio State commit Ty Lockwood, the Crimson Tide’s first commit at the position in their 2023 class.

LSU Tigers

August Commits:

  • 4-star WR Shelton Sampson Jr
  • 4-star S Kylin Jackson
  • 4-star QB Rickie Collins

Florida was not the only SEC Football team to have success with in-state recruiting during August as LSU is in the same conversation. All four of their 2023 commits during August came from in-state, a group led by four-star wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr, who is not only the top current commit in LSU’s class, but also one of the top players at the position nationally.

Auburn Tigers

August Commits:

  • 4-star WR Daquayvious Sorey
  • 4-star EDGE Ashley Williams
  • 3-star CB JC Hart

Don’t look now, but Auburn is quietly beginning to build momentum on the recruiting trail when it comes to their 2023 class, even despite holding an SEC Football low eight commitments. Of those eight commits, seven are considered as four-star prospects, with wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey, a former Georgia commit, arguably the biggest addition during August.
