SEC Football Game Today: Florida vs Utah Line, Predictions, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football

One of the more high-profile SEC Football matchups of week one, Florida begins the Billy Napier era Saturday with a home matchup in Gainesville against the Utah Utes.

Finishing 6-7 a year ago, Florida enters 2022 coming off their first losing season since 2017. As mentioned previously as well, the 2022 campaign also brings a new era for the Gators as Napier comes to Gainesville after a successful tenure at Louisiana from 2018-21, where he compiled a combined 40-12 record.

Leading the Gators offense in year one under Napier will be quarterback Anthony Richardson, while additional names such as Nay’quan Wright and Justin Shorter also return. A few transfer additions could play key roles for the Gators on both sides of the ball as well, while the Florida defense will be led by experienced names such as Trey Dean III, Gervon Dexter, and Brenton Cox.

As for Utah, the Utes are coming off a 10-4 season a year ago, one that concluded with a loss to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Ranked as the No. 7 team in the country, the Utes now enter 2022 as one of the top teams in the Pac-12, and are a legit preseason contender when it comes to making the College Football Playoff.

Utah also returns a talented roster as well, one that is led by one of the Pac-12’s top quarterbacks in Cameron Rising. In addition to Rising, the Utes backfield will be anchored by Tavion Thomas once again, while others such as Brant Kuithe, Dalton Kincaid, and others also return for Utah in 2022.

Playing in front of what will be one of the best SEC Football environments in week one, Florida is a team that is certainly capable of pulling off the upset. I’ll say that the Gators keep in close throughout as well, with Utah however coming away with the way due to a late score in the fourth quarter. Prediction: Florida 24, Utah 28
