Week 1 of college football is in the books and each team (except for LSU) from SEC Football finished with a win.

Overall, the week wasn’t as exciting as it could’ve been due Georgia vs Oregon being a snooze fest by the second quarter.

But it was nice to see college football on Saturday again, and there was plenty to see outside of the Bulldogs dominating the Ducks.

We got to see head coaching debuts from Billy Napier and Brian Kelly. Napier led the Gators to an electric victory over the No. 7 ranked Utah Utes.

We also had quarterback debuts with Jaxson Dart at Ole Miss and Spencer Rattler at South Carolina. Both left a bit to be desired.

Arkansas got a ranked win over a Cincy squad who looked better than most would’ve thought after losing so much talent from the year prior.

Texas A&M and Auburn took care of their FCS opponents and Vanderbilt remains at the top of the SEC at 2-0.

LSU lost to FSU in what may have been the game of the week in all of college football.

And let’s not forget about Alabama. With their 55-0 win over Utah State, the Tide set a record for margin of victory in an opening game in the Nick Saban Era.

4 biggest takeaways from SEC Football’s Week 1 games

With so much going on it’s important to remind ourselves that it’s only Week 1 and college football is a synonym for chaos.

There’s no telling what the college football landscape will look like at the end of the year, so it’s smart to not be prisoner of the moment.

Now with that being said; let’s be exactly that and go over what we think we know after SEC Football’s opening games.
