August Commits:

  • 4-star CG Freddie Dilione

The Volunteers currently hold SEC Basketball’s No. 2 ranked 2023 class at the moment, and a big reason for that are their commitments during August and so far during September. Looking at that group as well, the highest-ranked commit of Tennessee’s 2023 class was added during August in Freddie Dilione.

A four-star prospect, Dilione is a talented 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina where he is the state’s top player. One of the top overall combo guards in the 2023 class, Dilione is a day one impact player at Tennessee next season, and could very well end up being a five-star prospect by the time he steps foot in Knoxville.

Already a notable recruiting winner during September as well, Tennessee’s 2023 class is shaping up to be one of the best in the SEC, if not all of college basketball. Arguably the headline name of that group as well, Dilione should be among SEC Basketball’s top overall freshmen in 2023-24, as well as a key player at Tennessee from day one.
