10. Florida Gators

Previous Ranking: 9

Even despite picking up their second win of the season, Florida drops a spot to No. 10 in this week’s update coming off a 31-28 victory over South Florida. A game in which the Bulls missed a field goal to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, Florida was also outgained in total yardage in the contest, 402-329.

The Gators will now be looking for their first win of SEC Football play during week four as Florida travels to Tennessee for a Top 25 showdown. Florida will likely be an underdog in this matchup, and will need to have greater success throwing the ball in order to come away with the win.

9. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 8

Mississippi State drops a spot in this week’s update after the Bulldogs were defeated for the first time this season Saturday night at LSU, 31-16. The Bulldogs were outscored 21-0 in the fourth quarter of the contest, and were also only able to put together 289 total yards of offense, while also allowing 206 on the ground.

The Bulldogs will now return home to Starkville for what is a game in which they will be favored by multiple touchdowns over Bowling Green. Expect Mississippi State to win that game by a sizable margin as well.
