8. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 10

LSU was undoubtedly the biggest riser of the week as the Tigers jumped two spots to No. 8, coming off a 31-16 win over Mississippi State to open SEC Football play. A game in which the Tigers trailed entering the fourth quarter, LSU would completely own the game’s final frame, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-0 during that span.

The Tigers will now host New Mexico in week four, a game in which LSU should be a big favorite. Expect LSU to win by multiple touchdowns, and to win their third consecutive game.

7. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 7

The Rebels certainly passed their first road test of the 2022 season Saturday as Ole Miss shutout Georgia Tech in Atlanta, 42-0. A dominant showing from Ole Miss, the Rebels rushed for a total of 316 yards on the Yellow Jackets defense, with all three of Zach Evans, Quinshon Judkins, and Ulysses Bentley IV finding the end zone twice.

Ole Miss will now return home for a matchup with Tulsa, a game in which the Rebels will be big favorites. Expect the Rebels to win by multiple touchdowns as well.
