With conference play having now begun for all 14 teams, how do our SEC Football power rankings look as we enter week five of the 2022 season?

Tennessee, Texas A&M rise in SEC Football Week 5 power rankings

14. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 14

A game that you could certainly argue Missouri should have won, the Tigers dropped their second game of the season Saturday afternoon, falling on the road to Auburn in overtime, 17-14. Not only did the Tigers miss what would’ve been a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation, but they also fumbled at the goal line in overtime, a play that would’ve won Missouri the game should they have held onto the ball.

Things do absolutely not get any easier for the Tigers in week five either, even despite Missouri returning home where they are undefeated this season. That is because Georgia, the defending national champions and No. 1 ranked team in the country, will be coming to town for a game in which the Bulldogs will likely be big favorites.

13. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 13

Vanderbilt dropped their SEC Football opener during week four as the Commodores fell on the road to Alabama, 55-3. Aside from the Commodores field goal in the first quarter, this was not necessarily a strong performance from Vanderbilt overall, as they were only able to gain 129 yards of total offense.

The Commodores will now enter their bye week with a 3-2 overall record, as well as 0-1 in SEC play.
