Arkansas vs Alabama: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football
By Matt Melton
One of SEC Football’s most anticipated games during week five, Alabama travels to Arkansas for a Top 25 matchup between the Crimson Tide and Razorbacks. Two of the top teams in the SEC West, Alabama holds a 22-8 all-time advantage in this series, as well as having also won the last 15 meetings between the two, with Arkansas’ last win over the Crimson Tide coming back in 2006.
Arkansas (3-1 overall, 1-1 in SEC) comes into this contest off their first loss of the season, falling a week ago to Texas A&M in AT&T Stadium by a final score of 23-21. In what was the Razorbacks first game away from home this season, Arkansas now returns to Razorback Stadium for this matchup as well, a place where they are undefeated at 3-0 so far this season.
Now ranked as the No. 20 team in the country, the Razorbacks are averaging 33.5 PPG on offense, a group led by quarterback KJ Jefferson. Arkansas has also gotten stellar play from running back Raheim Sanders so far this season (83 carries, 508 yards, 3 TD), while Jadon Haselwood, Matt Landers, and Trey Knox have emerged as the Razorbacks top three receiving options alongside Sanders.
Defensively, Arkansas comes into Saturday allowing 26 PPG, a group led by one of the SEC’s top linebacker duos in Bumper Pool and Drew Sanders. Sanders, an Alabama transfer, currently leads the conference with six sacks, while others such as Jordan Domineck, Zach Williams, Landon Jackson, and Jayden Johnson have each made a notable impact in the pass rush game so far this season.
Alabama (4-0 overall, 1-0 in SEC Football) comes to Fayetteville as the No. 2 team in the country, coming off a dominant 55-3 home win over Vanderbilt to open conference play. This will be the Crimson Tide’s second true road game of the season after having beaten Texas back in week two, a game in which Alabama escaped Austin with a 20-19 victory.
The Crimson Tide come into this contest averaging 48.2 PPG on offense (No. 6 nationally), a group led by reigning Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Bryce Young. Alabama has primarily used three options at running back in Jase McClellan, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Jamarion Miller, while Traeshon Holden and Ja’Corey Brooks are the Crimson Tide’s top two receivers alongside Gibbs.
Defensively, the Crimson Tide have certainly impressed allowing only 7.2 PPG to opponents (No. 3 in nation), a group anchored by outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr (20 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks). Only three players in Jaylen Moody, Demarcco Hellams, and Henry To’oto’o have more tackles than Anderson this season, while Kool-Aid McKinstry has a team-high five PD’s in the Alabama secondary.

Arkansas vs Alabama SEC Football Prediction
Coming off a loss, this is a very dangerous Arkansas team that will be facing off with Alabama on Saturday afternoon. While a potential upset is a very real possibility, I do think the Crimson Tide avoid the upset however, and Alabama leaves an electric atmosphere in Fayetteville with a one-to-two possession win. Prediction: Arkansas 21, Alabama 35
