A matchup that the Bulldogs have dominated since Missouri joined SEC Football back in 2012, Georgia travels to Columbia for a matchup with the Tigers on Saturday night. The Bulldogs own a 9-1 advantage in the head-to-head series during that span, with Missouri’s last win over Georgia coming back in 2013.

Missouri (2-2 overall, 0-1 in SEC Football) comes into this game off their second loss of the 2022 season, having fallen on the road against Auburn in overtime, 17-14. The Tigers previously lost at Kansas State back in week two, with Missouri also holding wins this season over Louisiana Tech and Abilene Christian.

The Tigers offense comes into this game averaging 28 PPG, a group led by the running back duo of Nathaniel Peat and Cody Schrader. Brady Cook sports a 4:4 TD:INT this season from the quarterback position, while Dominic Lovett, Barrett Banister, and Luther Burden are the lone receivers to have double-digit receptions this season.

Missouri’s defense is allowing 24.5 PPG to opponents, a group led by Ty’ron Hopper who has simply done it all for the Tigers so far this season (25 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 INT). Isaiah McGuire leads the Tigers with three sacks on the year, while Jaylon Carlies, Joseph Charleston, Chad Bailey, and Martez Manuel are also names to know.

Georgia (4-0 overall, 1-0 in SEC Football) comes into this contest ranked as the No. 1 team in the country. The Bulldogs are coming off a 39-22 win last week at home over Kent State, with Georgia also owning wins so far this season over Oregon, Samford, and South Carolina.

The Georgia offense is averaging 42.2 PPG, and is led by quarterback Stetson Bennett who is completing 74.2% of his passes for 1,224 yards with a 5:1 TD:INT this season. Kendall Milton, Kenny McIntosh, and Daijun Edwards are the Bulldogs top three options at running back, while Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey are the top receivers.

Defensively, the Bulldogs currently rank fourth-lowest in the nation with only 8 PPG allowed to opponents, with their game a week ago against Kent State the first time this season an opponent has scored over 10 points on Georgia this season. On that side of the ball, the Bulldogs are led by names such as Jamon Dumas-Johnson and Smael Mondon Jr, while freshman Malaki Starks has also impressed in the secondary.
