Coming off one of the most action packed weeks in SEC Football so far this season, how do our power rankings look after a weekend full of loaded conference matchups as we enter week six?

Ole Miss, Mississippi State rise in Week 6 SEC Football power rankings

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 13

Vanderbilt did not play during week five (bye week), but will resume SEC Football play in week six when the Commodores host Ole Miss. Vanderbilt will likely not be favored going into the matchup with the Rebels, and will likely need to play one of their best games of the season in order to pick up their first conference win of the year.

13. Auburn Tigers

Previous Ranking: 12

Coming off their second loss of the season, Auburn drops a spot in this week’s update after falling at home to LSU, 21-17. A game in which you could certainly argue the Tigers should’ve won, Auburn actually held a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter, but were shutout across the second half, while also committing four total turnovers in key spots.

Things do not get any easier for the Tigers in week six either as Auburn is set for their toughest test yet with a road trip to Athens to face rival Georgia. Auburn will undoubtedly have to play their best game possible to have a chance to defeat the Bulldogs, and even if they do, it still might not be enough to leave Athens with a win.
