6. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 7

LSU won their fourth consecutive game last Saturday with a 21-17 win on the road at Auburn. Despite falling behind 17-0 in the first half, the Tigers were able to shutout Auburn across the game’s final two quarters, while also forcing four Tiger turnovers in the process.

The Tigers will now return home this Saturday for their toughest test yet, which is a matchup with a Top 10 ranked Tennessee team inside Tiger Stadium. LSU is certainly capable of pulling off the upset over the Volunteers on their home field, but will certainly have to play better on both sides of the ball in order to do that.

5. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 3

The Wildcats suffered their first loss of the 2022 season last Saturday afternoon, falling on the road at Ole Miss, 22-19. Never leading in the contest, Kentucky did actually have a chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter, but a costly fumble in the red zone sealed the victory for the Rebels.

Kentucky will now return home for a matchup with South Carolina, the Wildcats first SEC contest in Lexington this season. Kentucky will likely be favored in the contest, but will need to play better than Saturday in order to secure the win.
