September Commits:

  • 4-star PG Josh Hubbard

Currently owning SEC Basketball’s No. 3 2023 class, Ole Miss became the first team within the conference to hold four commits from this cycle during the month of September. That is because the Rebels and head coach Kermit Davis landed a big in-state commitment from Josh Hubbard.

Hubbard, a 5-foot-10 guard, is considered as the No. 1 overall player in the state of Mississippi where he attends Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Hubbard is also rated as a four-star prospect and Top 100 player nationally, as well as the second-highest rated commit in Ole Miss’ 2023 class behind only four-star center Rashaud Marshall.

As mentioned previously, Ole Miss’ 2023 class currently holds an SEC-high four commits, with Marshall, Jordan Burks, and Jacob Gazzo joining the four-star. However, the headline name in this group could very well end up being that of Hubbard, a player who will likely make an immediate impact offensively in 2023-24.
