LSU vs Tennessee: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football
By Matt Melton
A ranked-vs-ranked SEC Football showdown, Tennessee travels to Baton Rouge for a Saturday afternoon showdown with LSU. The Volunteers and Tigers have not met on the gridiron since the 2017 season, with LSU having won each of the last five meetings between the two teams, and Tennessee’s last win in this head-to-head series coming back in 2005.
LSU comes into this game with a 4-1 overall record, as well as an undefeated 2-0 mark in SEC Football play. Having won four straight games, the Tigers are coming off a 21-17 comeback road win at Auburn a week ago, and now return home to Tiger Stadium ranked as the No. 25 overall team in the country.
The Tigers offense comes into this game averaging 35.6 PPG, and are led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, a senior who has thrown for 915 yards with a 6:0 TD:INT, while also leading LSU in rushing this season. Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr, and Jaray Jenkins have been LSU’s top producers at wide receiver this season, while the Tigers will use four running backs in Armoni Goodwin, Noah Cain, John Emery Jr, and Josh Williams.
Defensively, LSU is allowing only 14.8 PPG to opponents, and are led by the duo of Jay Ward and Harold Perkins, both of which have 20+ tackles on the season. Mekhi Wingo is also a key player along LSU’s defensive front, while Greg Brooks Jr, BJ Ojulari, Greg Penn III, and Major Burns are also names to know in particular.
Tennessee however comes to Baton Rouge off a bye week, with their most recent contest coming two weeks ago in Knoxville with a 38-33 win over Florida. The Volunteers currently sit at 4-0 overall on the year and 1-0 in SEC Football, as well as being ranked the No. 8 in the nation.
Tennessee’s offense currently ranks second-most nationally with 48.5 PPG, a group that averages 559.3 total yards of offense per game and is led by star quarterback Hendon Hooker. Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small are the Volunteers top two options at running back, while the receiving trio of Jalin Hyatt, Cedric Tillman, and Bru McCoy has been one of SEC Football’s best this season.
The Volunteers defense on the other hand is allowing 19 PPG to opponents, a group featuring three top tacklers in Aaron Beasley, Trevon Flowers, and Jeremy Banks. Kamal Hadden has also picked off two passes this season, while Elijah Herring, Byron Young, and Tyler Baron are names to know in the pass rush.
LSU vs Tennessee Line, Spread, Over/Under

LSU vs Tennessee SEC Football Prediction
With this game being played in Baton Rouge, you could certainly make the argument that this contest is a legit toss up when making a prediction. This game could honestly go either way, but I’ll say that LSU picks up their biggest win so far of the Brian Kelly era due to a late score, and beats Tennessee in a one possession game. Prediction: LSU 30, Tennessee 28
