4. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 4

A week after opening SEC Football play with a win over Kentucky, Ole Miss impressed once again in week six as the Rebels went on the road to Nashville to defeat Vanderbilt, 52-28. A game in which the Rebels dominated the second half, Ole Miss impressed offensively as well by compiling 591 yards of total offense, headlined by big games from the QB/WR duo of Jaxson Dart and Jonathan Mingo.

The Rebels will return home in week seven as well, with Ole Miss set to host an Auburn team that has lost two straight. Ole Miss will likely be considered as a multiple touchdown favorite as well, especially with this game being played in Oxford.

3. Tennessee Volunteers

Previous Ranking: 3

Coming off a bye week, Tennessee had arguably SEC Football’s most impressive performance during week six as the Volunteers went on the road to defeat LSU by a final of 40-13. A game in which the Volunteers never trailed, Tennessee would jump out to a 10-0 lead early in the first quarter, and would never look back on their way to a simply dominant performance.

Still undefeated, Tennessee will now turn their attention to their biggest test yet in week seven as the Volunteers will host SEC Football’s biggest game this Saturday against Alabama in a Top 10 showdown. A matchup in which the Volunteers have struggled across the last decade-plus, could this potentially be the season that Tennessee finally conquers the Crimson Tide?
