2. Georgia Bulldogs
Previous Ranking: 2
Georgia remains at the No. 2 spot after their 42-10 win over Auburn in Athens, a game in which the Bulldogs owned the fourth quarter outscoring the Tigers 21-7. The Bulldogs also outgained the Tigers 500-258 in total yardage in the contest, while also limiting the Auburn offense to only 10 first downs all game.
The Bulldogs will now remain at home for the second consecutive week as Georgia will host Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon. Likely big favorites in the matchup, you could certainly make an argument that Georgia should win this game by at-least two touchdowns, if not more.
1. Alabama Crimson Tide
Previous Ranking: 1
Remaining in the No. 1 spot by a slim margin, Alabama survived a potential upset on Saturday at home as the Crimson Tide defeated Texas A&M, 24-20. With backup Jalen Milroe drawing the start at quarterback, the Crimson Tide’s offense struggled at times in this contest, committing four turnovers in the process, three of which led to either a touchdown or field goal on the Aggies next drive.
Next up for Alabama is yet another tough test as the Crimson Tide travel to Knoxville where a matchup with rival Tennessee awaits. Alabama has dominated this matchup in recent memory, but will certainly have to play much better offensively against a Volunteers team that has one of the best offenses in the country.
