Arkansas vs BYU: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football
By Matt Melton
In the midst of multiple SEC Football conference matchups this weekend, Arkansas will actually travel out west for a non-conference matchup with the BYU Cougars. An unfamiliar opponent for the Razorbacks, this will be the first ever meeting on the gridiron between Arkansas and BYU.
Having lost three consecutive games, Arkansas is coming off a 40-17 road loss at Mississippi State a week ago, dropping the Razorbacks record to 3-3 overall, as well as 1-3 in SEC Football. In what was the Razorbacks first true road game of the season, Arkansas was also without starting quarterback KJ Jefferson in the contest, which translated to a season-low 17 points on offense.
Averaging 29.5 PPG for the year, the Arkansas offense was led by Malik Hornsby and Cade Fortin at quarterback a week ago, as well as the SEC’s leading rusher in Raheim Sanders (695 yards, 5 TD). Jadon Haselwood is the Razorbacks leader in both receptions and receiving yards, with Matt Landers and Trey Knox also having double-digit catches this season.
Defensively, the Razorbacks are allowing 32.2 PPG to opponents, and have struggled in recent weeks by having given up 40+ points to both Mississippi State and Alabama. The linebacker duo of Drew Sanders and Bumper Pool leads this Arkansas defense, while others such as Simeon Blair, Jordan Domineck, Latavious Brini, and Zach Williams are also among the names to know.
BYU on the other hand are currently in their seventh season under head coach Kalani Sitake, with the Cougars currently holding a 4-2 overall record so far this season. The Cougars are also coming off a neutral-site 28-20 loss to Notre Dame a week ago, with their only other loss this season having come on the road at Oregon back in mid-September.
The Cougars offense comes into Saturday averaging 32 PPG, a group that is lead by quarterback Jaren Hall (68.6 CMP%, 1,558 yards, 14:2 TD:INT). BYU will primarily use three different running backs in Christopher Brooks, Lopini Katoa, and Miles Davis, while multiple receivers will likely make an impact such as Kody Epps, Chase Roberts, Keanu Hill, Brayden Cosper, and Isaac Rex.
BYU’s defense however is allowing 26.7 PPG to opponents, a group led by the duo of Ben Bywater and Max Tooley who not only have 40+ tackles each this season, but have also combined for five interceptions. Elsewhere on the Cougars defense, Keenan Pili, Payton Wilgar, and Micah Harper are also top tacklers, while John Nelson leads BYU with two sacks on the year.
Arkansas vs BYU Line, Spread, Over/Under

Arkansas vs BYU SEC Football Prediction
A game that will likely be close throughout, this game likely comes down to if Jefferson will be available at quarterback for the Razorbacks. If he plays, this is a game that Arkansas could very easily win, but if not, the Razorbacks could be the underdogs on the road against a good BYU team. Prediction: Arkansas 30, BYU 28
