10. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 9

South Carolina drops a spot coming off their bye week, and now returns to play this Saturday with a home matchup against Texas A&M. Having won three straight going into the week, this is a big game for the Gamecocks, and is one that they could easily end up winning, even despite likely being a slight home underdog.

9. Arkansas Razorbacks

Previous Ranking: 11

After losing three straight, Arkansas got back on their winning ways during week seven by picking up a 52-35 non-conference road win at BYU, rising two spots to No. 9 because of it. Arkansas’ highest offensive point total of the season, the Razorbacks posted an impressive 644 yards of total offense, and saw a special performance from quarterback KJ Jefferson, with the redshirt junior throwing for 367 yards and five touchdowns in his return to the field.

The Razorbacks now enter their bye week with a 4-3 overall record, as well as a 1-3 mark in SEC Football play. Arkansas will resume conference play in week nine as the Razorbacks will travel to Auburn for a game that they will likely be slight favorites.
