8. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 10

After dropping in last week’s update, the Tigers are on the rise as LSU got back on their winning ways during week seven, defeating Florida in Gainesville by a final of 45-35. A game in which LSU dominated the second and third quarters, the Tigers were also led by one of the conference’s top performances in week seven as quarterback Jayden Daniels accounted for six total touchdowns.

The Tigers now return home in week eight as LSU will host arguably SEC Football’s biggest game this Saturday against Ole Miss. A potential upset over the Top 10 ranked Rebels is a possibility on Saturday in Tiger Stadium, especially if LSU plays similar offensively to what they did against Florida this past week.

7. Texas A&M Aggies

Previous Ranking: 7

Texas A&M remains at the No. 7 spot coming off their their bye week, with the Aggies returning to play this Saturday on the road against South Carolina. Both teams are coming off a bye week, with the Aggies likely having to play a complete game in Columbia in order to snap their two-game losing streak.
