6. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 4

Dropping two spots in this week’s update, Ole Miss suffered their first loss of the season last Saturday, falling on the road at LSU by a final of 45-20. The Rebels would carry a 20-17 lead into halftime of the contest, but would be shutout the entire second half, being outscored 28-0 in the process.

Looking ahead, Ole Miss will travel once again this Saturday night as the Rebels will take on Texas A&M in College Station. A game that could be a toss-up, the Rebels will undoubtedly be looking for a bounce back performance, but it will not be easy by any means, especially offensively against a solid Aggies defense.

5. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 8

Speaking of the Tigers, LSU was one of the biggest risers this week coming off their 45-20 win over Ole Miss, which also happened to be the Tigers second consecutive 45-point performance. As mentioned previously, LSU would outscore the Rebels a combined 28-0 in the second half, and were led by another impressive performance from quarterback Jayden Daniels who accounted for five total touchdowns.

Now 6-2 on the year, as well as 4-1 in SEC Football play, LSU will enter their bye week ahead of the November 5 showdown with Alabama in Tiger Stadium. Speaking of that game, could LSU potentially pickup back-to-back Top 10 wins on their homefield?
