Jamey Chadwell

One of college football’s top non-power five coaches at the moment, Chadwell is also a name that has come up recently around multiple job openings. Could Auburn Football potentially be on that list as well?

Chadwell is currently in his fifth season as the head coach at Coastal Carolina, a span in which he holds a combined 37-20 record. Having lead the Chanticleers to back-to-back bowl appearances in the last two years, as well as two 11-win seasons during that span, Chadwell has also received multiple accolades during his time at Coastal Carolina, headlined by the 2020 AP Coach of the Year.

With Coastal Carolina currently sitting at 7-1, the Chanticleers are well on their way to playing in their third consecutive bowl game, having played in the Cure Bowl the past two seasons. Coastal Carolina is also in contention for their second Sun Belt conference title under Chadwell.

Chadwell has simply turned the Coastal Carolina program into one of the top non-power five programs in the country. Yes, the jump from the Sun Belt to the SEC would certainly be a big one, but could he potentially turn the Auburn Football program around as well?
