As the calendar flips to November, one topic will quickly begin to dominate the college and SEC football world across the next couple of weeks – the College Football Playoff rankings.

With the initial rankings set to be released on Tuesday night, why not make some predictions on who might just be the four teams in the playoff as of right now, as well as which SEC Football teams will be ranked and where?

Which SEC Football teams will make the College Football Playoff rankings?

Beginning with the top four teams, here is my prediction on who I think will be in the initial College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night, as well as the two teams outside looking in:

  • No. 1 Georgia
  • No. 2 Tennessee
  • No. 3 Ohio State
  • No. 4 Michigan
  • No. 5 Clemson
  • No. 6 Alabama

Yes, I think there will be only two SEC Football teams in the initial College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night, with Alabama sitting just on the outside at No. 6. As for the two that do make it, both Georgia and Tennessee have a legit argument to be made for the No. 1 spot, and I predict that the Bulldogs and Volunteers will both be ranked in the top two, making this Saturday’s showdown in Athens that much bigger.

As for the other teams in the top six, I think that two Big Ten teams in Ohio State and Michigan will be ranked No. 3-4, with either team potentially ranked ahead of the other. I’ll say that Clemson is the very first team outside of the initial CFP top four, with the gap between the Tigers and Alabama being slimmer than you might think.

dark. Next. Arkansas, Missouri rise in Week 10 power rankings

In addition to the top six, there will likely be a few other SEC Football teams ranked in the Top 25 on Tuesday night, a group that should include at-least LSU and Ole Miss, both of which should be within the Top 15. Other teams such as Kentucky and Arkansas could also potentially be ranked, if not sitting just outside the Top 25.
