SEC Football: LSU, Florida rise in Week 11 2022 power rankings
By Matt Melton
4. Alabama Crimson Tide
Previous Ranking: 3
Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Alabama drops a spot to No. 4 after their 32-31 road defeat on Saturday night at LSU. Alabama’s second loss this season on the final play of the game, the Crimson Tide were about to go on a drive in the final minute of regulation to force overtime, and would later lose by an LSU two-point conversion.
As mentioned previously, Alabama will travel once again in Week 11 to Oxford for a matchup with Ole Miss. Having lost their last two road games, the Crimson Tide will be the favorite against the Rebels, but will undoubtedly have to play better against an Ole Miss team that is certainly capable of pulling the upset.
3. LSU Tigers
Previous Ranking: 4
On the topic of LSU as well, the Tigers rise a spot to No. 3 coming off their 32-31 overtime win in Baton Rouge over Alabama. A game in which the Tigers led multiple times, LSU was able to come away with the victory over the Crimson Tide due to a two-point conversion on the final play of the game as quarterback Jayden Daniels connected with tight end Mason Taylor.
Now first in the SEC Football West, LSU will travel this Saturday to Fayetteville for a tough matchup with Arkansas, a game in which they will be favored. Yes, all LSU needs to do going forward is win, but it will not be easy by any means against the Razorbacks in Fayetteville.
