Florida Gators

October Commits:

  • 4-star S Dijon Johnson
  • 4-star OL Roderick Kearney
  • 3-star S Bryce Thornton

As for the Gators, Florida landed three commitments during the month of October, which sat right behind the Bulldogs for the most in SEC Football. Looking at those three as well, each came in the Gators 2023 class, with two adding to Florida’s notable in-state success during this recruiting cycle.

Coming from in-state are two four-star prospects in safety Dijon Johnson and offensive lineman Roderick Kearney, both of which are currently among the five highest-rated commits in the Gators 2023 class. Johnson is a former Ohio State commit out of Wharton High School who is one of the most versatile defensive backs in the state of Florida, while Kearney is among the state’s top offensive linemen out of Orange Park High School.

In addition to those two, the Gators also landed a player from Georgia in Bryce Thornton. Thornton, who is the third player from Georgia in the Gators 2023 class, is rated as a three-star safety out of Milton High School.
