Alabama vs Auburn: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for SEC Football
By Matt Melton
Arguably the headline SEC Football matchup of rivalry week, Alabama and Auburn are set to meet Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa for the latest edition of the Iron Bowl. A series in which Alabama holds a 48-37-1 all-time advantage, the Crimson Tide have also won the last two games against the Tigers, as well as every game in Tuscaloosa since 2010.
Alabama is currently ranked as the No. 7 team in the country according to the latest College Football Playoff rankings, holding a 9-2 overall record, as well as a 5-2 mark in SEC Football play. The Crimson Tide also come into this contest on a two-game winning streak, one that includes wins over both Ole Miss and Austin Peay.
The Crimson Tide are averaging the fifth-most points nationally at 40 PPG, a unit that is led by the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in Bryce Young at quarterback. Jahmyr Gibbs, Jase McClellan, and Roydell Williams are Alabama’s top names at running back, while the Crimson Tide’s wide receiver group features numerous names such as Ja’Corey Brooks, Jermaine Burton, Traeshon Holden, and Kobe Prentice, along with Cameron Latu at tight end.
Defensively, Alabama is allowing only 17.2 PPG to opponents, and is led by star pass rusher Will Anderson Jr., a junior who has eight sacks on the year. Leading the Crimson Tide in tackles are names such as DeMarcco Hellams, Henry To’oTo’o, and Brian Branch, while others such as Byron Young and Dallas Turner have made key impacts in Alabama’s pass rush.
Auburn enters the Iron Bowl with a 5-6 overall record, as well as a 2-5 mark in SEC Football play, which means that the Tigers will need a win over Alabama to become bowl eligible. The Tigers have also won two consecutive games entering this contest, with Auburn currently owning a 2-1 record under interim head coach Carnell “Cadillac” Williams.
Offensively, Auburn is averaging 24.5 PPG so far this season, with the arguable strength of the Tigers offense being a running game anchored by the duo of Tank Bigsby and Jarquez Hunter. Robby Ashford has also played a factor running the ball at quarterback, while Ja’Varrius Johnson, Koy Moore, and John Samuel Shenker are the Tigers top receivers.
The Tigers are also allowing 27.7 PPG to opponents this season, with the Auburn defense led by one of the SEC’s top pass rushing duos in Derick Hall and Colby Wooden, one that has combined for 12.5 sacks on the year. Owen Pappoe is also by far the Tigers top tackler with 81 total, with others such as Cam Riley, Keionte Scott, and Wesley Steiner also among the team leaders.
Alabama vs Auburn Line, Spread, Over/Under

Alabama vs Auburn SEC Football Prediction
With this game being played in Tuscaloosa, combined with the fact that the Crimson Tide will need to win to keep their slim College Football Playoff hopes alive, it’s hard to see Alabama losing this one. Yes, this game was close a year ago, but expect Alabama to control this game from the first quarter, and to win by at-least two touchdowns. Prediction: Alabama 38, Auburn 17
