Kentucky vs Duke
One of the biggest potential matchups that you could get between the conferences in basketball, we’re certainly bound to get a Kentucky/Duke showdown in the ACC/SEC Challenge sooner rather than later. Consistently among college basketball’s top teams annually, the Wildcats and Blue Devils last played a year ago in the State Farm Champions Classic, a game in which Duke won 79-71.
Arkansas vs North Carolina

Fans of the two conferences have also not seen this matchup in nearly a decade as well, as the Volunteers and Cavaliers last met back in 2013 in Knoxville.
Alabama vs Notre Dame
As for recent rematches, there are two other games from just last season that we could potentially see next season, the first of which is Alabama and Notre Dame. As mentioned previously, the Crimson Tide and Fighting Irish faced off a year ago in the Round of 64 in the NCAA Tournament, a game in which Notre Dame won 78-64.

The second of those two potential rematches, Auburn taking on Miami also feels like a matchup that we could see at some point in the ACC/SEC Challenge sooner rather than later. The Tigers and Hurricanes also faced off in last seasons NCAA Tournament, with Miami upsetting Auburn 79-61 in the Round of 32.
