One of SEC Basketball’s top teams, Kentucky will travel to London, England on Sunday afternoon for a showdown with Michigan in the Basketball Hall of Fame London Showcase.

Ranked as the No. 19 team in the country, Kentucky comes into this contest with a record of 5-2, as well as on a two-game winning streak with wins over North Florida and Bellarmine. Averaging 83.3 PPG offensively, the Wildcats rank No. 28 nationally in scoring, while allowing 64.1 PPG on defense (No. 85 nationally) and being ranked as the No. 4 team nationally in defensive efficiency according to KenPom.

The Wildcats are led by the defending National and SEC Basketball Player of the Year in forward Oscar Tshiebwe, who is averaging 14.4 PPG and 13.4 RPG on 56.4% shooting so far this season. Kentucky also has four others averaging in double-figures in leading scorer Antonio Reeves, Jacob Toppin, Cason Wallace, and CJ Fredrick, while Sahvir Wheeler is by far the Wildcats assist leader at 7.3 APG.

Michigan also comes into this game with a 5-2 overall record, as well as coming off a close 70-68 loss to Virginia. Led by head coach Juwan Howard, the Wolverines rank No. 118 nationally with an average of 76 PPG offensively, while also ranking No. 208 in the country by allowing 70 PPG to opponents.

The Wolverines are led by one of the Big Ten’s top players in center Hunter Dickinson at 19.1 PPG and 9.1 RPG, while Michigan also has one other player in double-figures in freshman Jett Howard at 15.1 PPG. Michigan also has four others averaging 5+ PPG in Kobe Bufkin, Terrance Williams, Jaelin Llewellyn, and Joey Baker.

When making a pick in this matchup, Kentucky is still likely a favorite over Michigan with this game being played on a neutral court. I’ll say that the Wildcats win by at-least five points, led by a big game from Tshiebwe in particular. Prediction: Kentucky 76, Michigan 68
