The Georgia Bulldogs beat the LSU Tigers, 50-30. Stetson Bennett ended up with 464 yards and four touchdowns. Kendall Milton ran for 113 yards on 8 carries. LSU put up a good fight against the Bulldogs, but by halftime it was clear that Georgia Football was much better than them.

The Bulldogs didn’t play around with their food as much as they have in recent games, as they quickly took care of the Tigers. Still, Georgia struggled a little bit with a opponent that didn’t have their starting QB for a majority of the game.

The game started out with two punts by both sides. The Tigers were moving down the field behind the Daniels show. They were unable to move past the red zone and had to settle for a field goal. The field goal attempt was blocked by Georgia and Christopher Smith returned it for a 96-yard TD on the block.

The Tigers offense responded to their special teams miscues by moving the ball down quickly for a TD in three plays. Jayden Daniels threw a pass to Kayshon Boutte for a 53-yard TD to cap off the drive.

Bennett led the Bulldogs offense to a responding TD drive behind passes to Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey. LSU tried to respond with a drive on their own, but got intercepted on the second play of a drive by. While some luck was involved in the interception, it was great awareness by Smael Mondon to notice the ball was still in play after bouncing off the LSU tight end.

They would turn that play into a touchdown on the very next play from a Bennett to McConkey connection. It was 21-7, Georgia near the beginning of the second quarter. The Tigers couldn’t move their offense at all on their next drive and had to punt after three plays.

On the next drive, Georgia was able to drive down the field behind the running game of Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards. They weren’t able to get anything going near the LSU 30 and had to settle for a field goal attempt. The kick from Jack Podlesny ended up sailing out of the uprights and did not go in. It was still 21-7 Georgia, midway through the second.

LSU was unable to take advantage of the Bulldogs miscue, and had to punt after three plays. Bennett would go to work on this next drive and led the Bulldogs to another touchdown, this time going to Darnell Washington in the end zone.

The Tigers offense continued to go quiet and had to punt after three plays. Georgia went down the field for a score behind their rushing attack, and Georgia had sizable control of this game with 32 seconds left, as they were up 35-7. LSU would make a field goal before the half was over but the game was pretty much over.

The score would end up being 50-30, but honestly nothing really notable happened. LSU would respectfully play well considering the circumstances (and the fact that Jayden Daniels went out around halftime).

Jalen Carter would have amazing game, and it was highlighted by one play where he even just straight picked up Jayden Daniels for the sack. Honestly, the picture of it is really cool to look at. Carter ended up with 2 solo tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 pass deflection. As he has all season, he really looked like a man above boys.

Garrett Nussmeier ended up throwing for 294 yards and 1 TD in relief for Daniels. It was garbage time, but still pretty impressive.

Georgia locked up the one seed by winning this game. You could argue that based off the way the rest of championship Saturday went, they really didn’t need to do this, but still the win locked it for them.

Against mediocre opponents, the Bulldogs played sloppy all season. In this game, they played sloppy, but it wasn’t like the games they played in the past (see Missouri game). After this game, I have a lot more confidence that the Bulldogs will be able to win to go back to back this season.

Quickly before we finish on Georgia Football, I really don’t have a lot to add on LSU. They weren’t expected to win this game, and they didn’t. They lost by a lot to a way better team. Honestly, I don’t have anything else to add that I haven’t said before in previous articles.

Back to Georgia Football, I really think they are the best team in the country. The Ladd McConkey injury scares me, but considering we have a month to until Georgia next’s game, they should be okay.

Next. LSU, Tennessee among November recruiting winners. dark

Also, they will likely be favored over No. 4 seed Ohio State in the CFP Semifinal. They probably need him (McConkey) if they want to beat Michigan, but that’s even farther away. Simply put, going into the College Football Playoff, Georgia Football is my heavy favorite to win it all.
