Florida vs Oregon State: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for 2022 Las Vegas Bowl

Bowl season for the SEC officially begins Saturday afternoon as Florida and Oregon State meet in the 2022 SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. An SEC vs Pac-12 showdown, this will be the first-ever meeting between the Gators and Beavers on the football field.
Florida is coming off a 6-6 regular season in year one under head coach Billy Napier, one in which the Gators also owned a 3-5 record in the SEC. The Gators also come into this contest having lost two consecutive games, and will be without multiple players who have already either declared for the 2023 NFL Draft or entered the transfer portal.
The Gators offense, which ranks No. 43 nationally with 31.8 PPG, will be led by the rushing duo of Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne, both of which have rushed for 700+ yards this season. Jack Miller will be making his first start at quarterback for the Gators, with Ricky Pearsall and Xzavier Henderson as the top two options at receiver.
Florida’s defense, who ranks No. 91 nationally by allowing 28.8 PPG to opponents, has a few names leading the team with 70+ tackles each this year in Trey Dean III, Rashad Torrence II, and Amari Burney. Two additional names to watch for in this game are that of Shemar James and Kamari Wilson, two freshman who have impressed for the Gators this season.
Oregon State however is ranked as the No. 14 team in the country according to the latest College Football Playoff rankings, with the Beavers coming off a 9-3 regular season, one that included a 6-3 record in Pac-12 play. The Beavers also come in on a three-game winning streak, one that includes’ wins over California, Arizona State, and in-state rival Oregon.
Oregon State’s offense, which ranks No. 37 nationally with an average of 32.4 PPG, is led by quarterback Ben Gulbranson, as well as the running back trio of Damien Martinez, Deshaun Fenwick, and Jamious Griffin, one that has combined for 17 rushing touchdowns this season. The Beavers also have multiple receivers who make an impact such as Tre’Shaun Harrison, Anthony Gould, Tyjon Lindsay, and Silas Bolden.
The Beavers defense allows 21.4 PPG to opponents to rank No. 31 nationally, a unit that is led by the duo of Omar Speights and Kitan Oladapo, both of which have 70+ tackles this season. Two players on the Oregon State defense also have three interceptions this season in Jaydon Grant and Ryan Cooper Jr, with others such as Kyrei Fisher and Alex Austin also both names to know.

As of Tuesday, Oregon State is a 10.5-point favorite over Florida in the 2022 Las Vegas Bowl. The over/under is set at 52.5, with Florida currently +300 and Oregon State -385.

With Florida down multiple key players in this game, this game is likely Oregon State’s to lose. As for if this game will be close, don’t be surprised if the Gators keep it close in the first half, but the Beavers should likely pull away in the second half. Prediction: Florida 17, Oregon State 30
