In what is the second-ever meeting between the Tigers and Huskies, Auburn travels out west on Wednesday night for an SEC basketball/Pac-12 matchup with Washington.

Having lost two of their last three games, Auburn comes into Wednesday with a 9-2 overall record, with the Tigers also ranked as the No. 23 overall team in the country. Led by head coach Bruce Pearl, the Tigers are currently averaging 72.7 PPG on offense while allowing 62.2 PPG to opponents, and also rank first nationally with an average of 7.5 BPG.

Leading the Tigers in scoring is guard Wendell Green Jr at 12.7 PPG, with two others also currently averaging in double-figures in Johni Broome and KD Johnson. Jaylin Williams and Allen Flanigan are also two prominent scorers for the Tigers, while Chris Moore and Dylan Cardwell are two key options in the Auburn frontcourt alongside the previously mentioned Broome.

Washington comes into this game with a 9-3 overall record, as well as a 1-1 mark in Pac-12 play. Led by head coach Mike Hopkins, the Huskies are averaging 71.2 PPG while allowing 64.6 PPG so far this season, and own noteworthy wins over the likes of Saint Mary’s, Colorado, and Seattle.

Leading the Huskies is a familiar name to SEC basketball fans in Keion Brooks, a former Kentucky transfer who is averaging 16.8 PPG and 6.7 RPG in the Washington frontcourt so far this season. In addition to Brooks, the Huskies have only one additional player averaging in double-figures in guard Cole Bajema, with others such as Braxton Meah, Franck Kepnang, PJ Fuller II, Keyon Menifield, and Jamal Bey all also averaging 7+ PPG this season.

Auburn vs Washington SEC Basketball Prediction

Coming off a road loss at USC, all eyes will be on Auburn for a potential bounce back after dropping what was their first true road game of the year Sunday. I’ll say that Auburn does bounce back as well, beating Washington by at-least five points. Prediction: Auburn 74, Washington 68
