LSU (2nd in the West, bowl-eligible, my sleeper team)

Individual Awards: Brian Kelly (SEC Coach of the Year)

Evaluation: Opinions on the Tigers at the beginning of the year were mixed. Fans didn’t know what to think of the Brian Kelly and LSU marriage, but I had faith.

Even after the disappointing loss to FSU in the opening week, I stayed with my sleeper pick. And they certainly didn’t disappoint as they surprised even myself by exceeding my own expectations.

Making the SEC Championship and defeating Alabama were the highlights of the year and surely qualify for a successful sleeper team pick.

Grade: A-
