8. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 10

At the moment college basketball’s No. 4 scoring team at 88.8 PPG, Missouri rises in this week’s update up to the No. 8 spot, with the Tigers holding an 11-1 overall record. Having concluded non-conference play, Missouri’s recent stretch of games during December was headlined by a 93-71 win over Illinois this past Thursday night, with their lone loss having come at home to Kansas.

The Tigers will now begin SEC basketball play at home against Kentucky on December 28.

7. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 6

Sitting at 11-1 overall, LSU does drop a spot this week to No. 7, but that is certainly no fault of their own. The Tigers are currently on a six-game winning streak at the moment that dates back to November 27, with LSU having picked up wins over teams such as Wake Forest, North Carolina Central, and Wofford since.

With non-conference play having concluded, the Tigers will now begin SEC play in Baton Rouge on December 28 against Arkansas.
