SEC Basketball: Tennessee, Georgia rise in latest 2022-23 power rankings

2. Alabama Crimson Tide

Remaining in the No. 2 spot this week is Alabama, with the Crimson Tide having concluded their non-conference schedule with a 10-2 mark on the year. Included in the recent stretch for the Crimson Tide was a 4-1 month of December up to this point in which Alabama’s lone loss was on a neutral court to Gonzaga, along with wins over South Dakota State, Houston, Memphis, and Jackson State.

Alabama will now open SEC play on December 28 with a road matchup in Starkville against Mississippi State.

1. Arkansas Razorbacks

Previous Ranking: 1

Arkansas remains in the No. 1 spot this week, with the Razorbacks having yet to lose a game since November 22 against Creighton. Currently sitting at 11-1 overall, the Razorbacks are also on a seven-game winning streak, one that includes’ wins over teams such as Oklahoma and Bradley in recent weeks.
