SEC News: Latest Bracketology update, Evans & Heath declare for Draft

Entering an action packed day for the conference, here are some of the biggest news headlines from Friday in the SEC, as well as a look ahead to Saturday’s games.
Seven SEC teams in latest Bracketology update
In the latest Bracketology update from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, a total of seven teams from the SEC are listed in the projected NCAA Tournament field, headlined by Alabama as a No. 1 seed. Other teams from the conference that were also included, along with their projected seed, were Tennessee (2), Arkansas (3), Auburn (6), Kentucky (7), Missouri (7), and Mississippi State (9).
Ole Miss running back Zach Evans declares for 2023 NFL Draft
Ole Miss junior running back Zach Evans declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday after only one season with the Rebels. Evans, who transferred from TCU last offseason, rushed for 936 yards and nine touchdowns on 144 attempts this past season, leading the SEC with 6.5 YPA.
Ole Miss wide receiver Malik Heath declares for 2023 NFL Draft
Ole Miss senior wide receiver Malik Heath also declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Friday after one season in Oxford. After transferring from Mississippi State this past offseason, Heath had 60 receptions for 971 yards (No. 2 in SEC) and five touchdowns for the Rebels this season.
Arkansas safety Simeon Blair enters transfer portal
Arkansas’ Simeon Blair has entered the transfer portal, coming off a season in which he was one of the Razorbacks top tacklers. The senior compiled 73 tackles, five PD, and two TFL this season.
