SEC Football: Alabama, Georgia among biggest December recruiting winners
By Matt Melton
Auburn Tigers
December Commits:
- 4-star EDGE Keldric Faulk
- 4-star CB Kayin Lee
- 4-star S Sylvester Smith
- 3-star OT Izavion Miller
- 3-star DL Quientrail Travis
- 3-star OL Connor Lew
- 3-star CB Colton Hood
- 3-star OT Tyler Johnson
- 3-star QB Hank Brown
- 3-star DL Stephen Johnson
Auburn and new head coach Hugh Freeze were also a big recruiting winner, as the Tigers landed a total of 10 commitments during December, the most of any SEC football team. Arguably the two biggest names of that group were four-star’s Keldric Faulk and Kayin Lee, both of which flipped to the Tigers during the Early Signing Period from Florida State and Ohio State, respectively.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
December Commits:
- 4-star S Isaac Smith
- 3-star OT Leon Bell
- 3-star DL Eric Taylor
- 3-star CB Brice Pollock
- 3-star CB Caleb Bryant
- 3-star CB Luke Evans
- 3-star OT Amari Smith
- 3-star DL Gabriel Moore
- 3-star P Keelan Crimmins
Mississippi State was also a big recruiting winner during the month of December by landing a total of nine commitments, which fell one shy of the conference-high. The biggest of those names was undoubtedly Isaac Smith, a four-star safety who could potentially be an instant impact player for the Bulldogs next season in Starkville.
Ole Miss Rebels
December Commits:
- 4-star RB Kedrick Reescano
- 4-star QB Demond Williams Jr.
- 3-star WR Cayden Lee
- 3-star OL Ethan Fields
The final SEC football team included here is Ole Miss, with the Rebels landing four commitments during December, three of which came in their 2023 class. The other name came in the Rebels 2024 class in Demond Williams Jr., a four-star quarterback out of Basha High School in Arizona.
