SEC News: Latest Bracketology Update, Lloyd transferring to USC

As we enter the weekend, here is a look back at some of the biggest news’ headlines from across the SEC on Friday, as well as a look ahead to the games to watch for on the hardwood across the conference on Saturday.

South Carolina RB MarShawn Lloyd transferring to USC

One of the top running backs in the transfer portal, South Carolina’s MarShawn Lloyd announced his transfer to USC on Friday. Lloyd led the Gamecocks in rushing this past season, compiling 573 yards and nine touchdowns on 111 attempts, while also having 18 receptions for 176 yards and two more scores.

7 SEC teams included in latest Bracketology update

Released Friday night by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, there are seven SEC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament. Those teams, and projected seeds, are – Alabama (1), Tennessee (2), Arkansas (3), Missouri (7), Kentucky (8), Auburn (10), and Mississippi State (10). LSU is also listed in the “Next Four Out” category.

Georgia F KyeRon Lindsay transferring to Texas Tech

Georgia freshman KyeRon Lindsay announced Friday night that he would be transferring to Texas Tech. Lindsay, a former four-star prospect, averaged 6.2 PPG and 5.2 RPG across 10 games earlier this season.

Auburn CB A.D. Diamond transferring to UAB

Auburn freshman cornerback A.D. Diamond announced Friday night that he would be transferring to UAB. Diamond is a former three-star prospect in the 2021 class, and did not record any stats with the Tigers this past season.
