SEC News: Georgia lands Top 50 recruit, Auburn adds LB transfer

It’s national championship day, Georgia and SEC fans! To kick off your week, here is a look back at a few of the top headlines from across the conference on both Saturday and Sunday.
4-star S Peyton Woodyard commits to Georgia
Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart landed a notable commitment to their 2024 class Saturday afternoon in Peyton Woodyard. Woodyard is a highly-rated four-star safety out of St. John Bosco in California, one of the top high school football teams in the country.
LSU LB DeMario Tolan transfers to Auburn
After entering the transfer portal a few days prior, LSU linebacker DeMario Tolan announced that he would be transferring within the SEC West on Sunday to Auburn. Tolan, a former four-star prospect, had 10 tackles across 12 games this past season as a freshman at LSU.
Arkansas DB Myles Slusher transfers to Colorado
Arkansas defensive back Myles Slusher, who recently committed to Louisville, announced Sunday that he would now be transferring to Colorado. Across six games with the Razorbacks this season, Slusher compiled 28 tackles, five TFL, and two sacks.
Alabama WR Christian Leary transfers to Georgia Tech
Alabama wide receiver Christian Leary, who recently announced he would transferring to UCF, is now transferring to Georgia Tech. Leary, a former four-star prospect, had only one reception for six yards at Alabama this past season.
Tyler Scott, CJ Johnson commit to Auburn
A pair of 2023 defensive backs, Tyler Scott and CJ Johnson, committed to Auburn across the last two days. Scott is a three-star cornerback out of Pebblebrook in Georgia, while Johnson is a three-star safety out of Paetow in Texas.
