The Georgia Bulldogs beat the TCU Horned Frogs, 65-7. It what was really a no contest from the start, as Georgia football dominated on their way to back-to-back titles. The Bulldogs threw for over 500 yards on the day to headline an offense that was cooking for Georgia. Georgia destroyed TCU’s offense by allowing less than 200 yards for the entire game, and about half of this game was complete garbage time.
The game started with a TD for Georgia after forcing TCU to punt after only gaining two yards on the first possession. TCU would fumble on their next drive, giving the ball back to Bulldogs. Georgia wouldn’t put another score in the end zone, as they had to settle for three, making it a 10-0.
On the next drive, the TCU offense went down the field for their only score of the game, as Duggan took the Frogs to pay dirt (the most notable play was a pass from Duggan threw a 60-yard pass to Derius Davis).
Just when it seemed like we might have a ball game, Georgia went quickly down the field for another touchdown. TCU would punt and threw another interception on the next two drives, with the Bulldogs scoring two touchdowns on their next drives. With a score of 31-7, the game was heavily in Georgia’s favor. The Bulldogs then forced another interception, which led to another score, making it 38-7 at halftime.
The game was pretty much over. The only other notable thing that happened in the rest of the game was the Ant-Man 3 trailer coming out, Mercedes running a graphic that was very entertaining to see, and ESPN commentator David Pollack taking a verbal shot at Nick Saban’s expense at halftime. This game was over before it began.
To be honest I am a huge football fan and the only thing I looked forward to in the second half was the Ant-Man 3 trailer. A perfect way to describe this game is a where TCU had 7 offensive blockers but couldn’t stop a 5 man rush.
Georgia football defeats TCU in 2023 CFP National Championship
This game was over before it began. Georgia was the best team in the country all season, but at times they played with their food. In this game, they made sure not to play with their food. Ohio State was a better opponent than TCU, and Georgia played with their food. In this one, they didn’t.
At times this season, Georgia seemed not to care, and in the end, it didn’t end up mattering because the Bulldogs winning the championship was inevitable. Although this is a championship piece, I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said.
This Georgia team will probably go undefeated next season, with the real game that should worry Bulldogs fans being the Tennessee game. It is very likely that Georgia football will be here next year. The Bulldogs just repeated as champs, and are on their way to starting a dynasty.
