SEC News: Howard enters portal, Burch announces transfer destination

Here are the results from the basketball games in the SEC last night, as well as a recap of a few of the biggest news’ headlines from across the conference Wednesday.
Alabama, Arkansas included in Top 5 for 2024 5-star SF Trentyn Flowers
Released on Wednesday, Alabama and Arkansas were the lone two SEC teams included in the Top 5 list for Trentyn Flowers, alongside Creighton, Louisville, and North Carolina. Flowers is a five-star small forward in the 2024 class out of Combine Academy in North Carolina.
Kentucky RB Kavosiey Smoke transfers to Colorado
Kentucky RB Kavosiey Smoke has transferred to Colorado after five seasons with the Wildcats, a span in which he rushed for a combined 1,583 yards and 13 touchdowns on 291 attempts. This past season, Smoke rushed for 277 yards and a touchdown on 58 attempts.
LSU QB Walker Howard enters transfer portal
After only one season in Baton Rouge, LSU freshman quarterback Walker Howard entered the transfer portal Wednesday. Howard, who was a highly-rated four-star prospect in the 2022 class, appeared in only two games for the Tigers this past season, completing 2-of-4 passes for seven yards, while also rushing for 33 yards on six attempts.
South Carolina DL Jordan Burch transfers to Oregon
South Carolina defensive lineman Jordan Burch, who is a former five-star prospect from the 2020 class, announced Wednesday that he would be transferring to Oregon. Burch is coming off a career-year with the Gamecocks, compiling 60 tackles, 7.5 TFL, and 3.5 sacks across 13 games.
Texas A&M DL Anthony Lucas transfers to USC
Texas A&M defensive lineman Anthony Lucas announced that he would be transferring to USC after only one season in College Station. Lucas, a former four-star prospect in the 2022 class, had 10 tackles and a TFL across seven games for the Aggies this past season.
