SEC News: Singletary enters portal, Washington declares for Draft

Kentucky DT Justin Rogers transfers to Auburn
Kentucky defensive tackle Justin Rogers announced Thursday that he would be transferring within the SEC to Auburn. Rogers, a former highly-rated four-star prospect in the 2020 class, compiled 35 tackles for the Wildcats this past fall across 13 games as a junior, as well as 1.5 TFL and 0.5 sacks.
Georgia CB Jaheim Singletary reportedly enters transfer portal
After only one season in Athens, Georgia cornerback Jaheim Singletary is set to enter the transfer portal according to a report. Singletary is a former five-star prospect in the 2022 class out of Riverside High School in Florida, and did not post any stats with the Bulldogs this past season.
Georgia TE Darnell Washington declares for 2023 NFL Draft
Georgia tight end Darnell Washington officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday, with the former five-star prospect likely to be one of the first tight ends selected. Washington posted one of the best single-seasons of his collegiate career this past fall totaling 454 yards and two touchdowns on 28 receptions across 15 games, and concludes his time at Georgia with 45 receptions for 774 yards and three touchdowns.
LSU lands Texas transfer LB Ovie Oghoufo
LSU landed a commitment from senior linebacker Ovie Oghoufo on Thursday, who is a transfer from Texas. Oghoufo has spent the last two seasons with the Longhorns compiling a combined 95 tackles, 13 TFL, and 3.5 sacks, and is coming off a 2022 season in which he compiled 53 tackles, 7.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks.
Tennessee WR Walker Merrill transfers to Wake Forest
Tennessee wide receiver Walker Merrill, who is a former four-star prospect from the 2021 class, will be transferring to Wake Forest. Merrill had eight receptions for 116 yards and three touchdowns this past season.
