SEC News: Howard announces transfer destination, Mitchell enters portal

Good morning, SEC fans! Coming off two days full of news in the SEC, here is everything that you need to know from across the conference from both Wednesday and Thursday.
LSU QB Walker Howard transfers to Ole Miss
Announced Wednesday morning, LSU quarterback Walker Howard is transferring within the SEC West to Ole Miss.
Howard, a former highly-rated four-star prospect in the 2022 class, appeared in two games for the Tigers this past season as a freshman, completing 2-of-4 passes for seven yards, while also rushing for 33 yards on six attempts.
Georgia WR AD Mitchell enters transfer portal
Georgia wide receiver AD Mitchell has entered the transfer portal after two seasons in Athens with the Bulldogs. Mitchell appeared in only six games this past season due to injury, totaling nine receptions for 134 yards and three touchdowns.
Arkansas OC Kendal Briles departs for TCU, Razorbacks hiring Dan Enos as OC
According to 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello, Arkansas offensive coordinator Kendal Briles is taking the same role at TCU. Briles has been the offensive coordinator at Arkansas since 2020, with the Razorbacks offense ranking No. 35 nationally this past season with an average of 32.5 PPG.
As for Arkansas’ new offensive coordinator, the Razorbacks will be hiring a familiar face in Dan Enos according to ESPN’s Chris Low. Enos was previously the Razorbacks offensive coordinator from 2015-17, and comes back to Fayetteville from the same position at Maryland, where the Terrapins offense averaged 28.2 PPG this past season, which ranked No. 67 nationally.
Ole Miss lands Oklahoma State transfer QB Spencer Sanders
The Rebels landed one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the transfer portal Thursday in Spencer Sanders, who was previously a four-year starter at Oklahoma State. Sanders completed 57.6% of his passes for 2,642 yards and a 17:9 TD:INT ratio this past season, along with rushing for 391 yards and eight touchdowns on 107 attempts, and comes to Ole Miss holding career marks of a 61 CMP%, 9,553 passing yards, 67:40 TD:INT, 1,956 rushing yards, and 18 rushing touchdowns.
