Alabama included in Top 8 for 4-star PF Aiden Sherrell
Alabama was the only SEC team included in the Top 8 for four-star power forward Aiden Sherrell on Saturday, joining Arizona State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, UNLV, and USC. Sherrell is considered as a Top 50 prospect in the 2024 class, and currently attends Hillcrest Prep in Arizona.
Vanderbilt QB Mike Wright transfers to Mississippi State
One of the SEC’s top quarterbacks in the transfer portal, Mike Wright has transferred within the conference from Vanderbilt to Mississippi State. Wright completed 57.4% of his passes for 974 yards and a 12:4 TD:INT ratio across 10 games this past season, while also rushing for 517 yards and five touchdowns on 71 attempts.
South Carolina lands 4-star OT Kam Pringle
South Carolina added a big commitment to their 2024 class Sunday in Kam Pringle, who is a four-star offensive tackle out of in-state Woodland High School. Pringle is considered as the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
Texas A&M adds UTEP transfer WR Tyrin Smith
Texas A&M landed a big commitment through the transfer portal Sunday in Tyrin Smith, who will join the Aggies in 2023 after two impressive seasons at UTEP. Across 12 games this past season, Smith was one of the top receivers in CUSA, totaling 71 receptions for 1,039 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ole Miss lands Georgia Tech transfer DB Zamari Walton
Ole Miss added an experienced defensive back via the transfer portal Sunday in Zamari Walton, who comes to Oxford after five seasons at Georgia Tech. Across 12 games with the Yellow Jackets this past season, Walton had 36 tackles, six PD’s, and an interception.
