By Matt Melton
Alabama Baseball 2023 Projected Starting Lineup
- C Dominic Tamez
- 1B Drew Williamson
- 2B Bryce Eblin
- SS Jim Jarvis
- 3B Ed Johnson
- LF Tommy Seidl
- CF Caden Rose
- RF Andrew Pinckney
- DH William Hamiter
Alabama’s starting lineup could look similar to last season, with the only real question coming at third base, where there will be a new starter for the first time in years. Ed Johnson, a transfer from Tennessee Tech, could potentially fill that role, while additional transfers such as Mac Guscette and Ryan Guardino could also see time in starting roles.
Alabama Baseball 2023 Projected Weekend Rotation
- Friday – RHP Garrett McMillan
- Saturday – RHP Jacob McNairy
- Sunday – LHP Grayson Hitt
As mentioned previously, all of Alabama’s 2022 weekend rotation returns this season, anchored by Friday night starter, Garrett McMillan. McNairy and Hitt will likely occupy the other weekend spots as well, with right-hander Ben Hess also a potential name to watch for, as well as UAB transfer Jackson Reynolds.
