Tennessee, Texas A&M rise in latest 2022-23 SEC Basketball power rankings

14. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 14

Beginning at No. 14 is once again South Carolina, as the Gamecocks enter this week owning an 8-13 overall record, as well as a 1-7 mark in SEC play. The Gamecocks have simply struggled dating back to their January 10 win at Kentucky, with South Carolina currently having lost five-straight, which includes two road losses this past week at Florida, 81-60, as well as at Georgia, 81-78.

After back-to-back road games this past week, South Carolina will now return home to Colonial Life Arena for a pair of matchups this week. The first of those two will come against Mississippi State on Tuesday, followed by a showdown with Arkansas on Saturday.

13. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 13

Ole Miss also remains in the No. 13 spot this week, as the Rebels are now sitting at 9-12 overall, as well as 1-7 in the SEC. Similar to South Carolina, Ole Miss has struggled in recent weeks, which includes an 0-2 showing this past week by falling to Missouri, 89-77, as well as Oklahoma State, 82-60.

Currently on a three-game losing streak, Ole Miss will now host Kentucky on Tuesday night as the Rebels look to get back in the win column. The Rebels will also travel to Vanderbilt on Saturday for a showdown with the Commodores.
